Q: First tell us something about yourself?
My name is Tai East and I’m from Alabama. I’m a Christian blogger (https://aspiritkissedsoul.com/), Jewelry Maker (Instagram: @asks_by_tai), and Children’s Book Author. I’m passionate about God and family. I love anything that has to do with creativity or the arts. Our creativity is a gift from God. And I truly believe that our creative expression is a beautiful and powerful way to honor The Lord and bring Him glory, as well as build His kingdom and transform the world around us.
I’m into health and wellness and when I’m not writing or making jewelry, I enjoy gardening, cooking, creating my own herbal teas, spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, singing, reading, walking my dog, bowling, and going to sporting events.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
I would say that my journey as a Writer started when I was a child because from then to all throughout my teenage years and well into my early 20’s, I wrote poetry.
Q: When did you write your first story? Is it published or not?
I was in my early 20’s when I started writing children’s stories. I had always wanted to publish them, but back then I simply allowed fear to keep me from truly pursuing the opportunity. Now, at the age of 36, I recently wrote a Christian children’s book that is now being published.
Q: Tell us something more about your books?
I’ve written a Christian children’s book series and the first book in the series is now being published and will be released on 11/11/21, but is available to pre-order now. The title of the first book is “Abram Says… ‘God Talks to Me!’”.
“Abram Says… ‘God Talks to Me!’” is about a little boy named Abram who is curious about if God really speaks to us and wants to know how he can hear the voice of God in the same way that his parents do.This book would be great for parents who are looking for an organic way to engage or start open dialogue with their young children about how they can hear God’s voice for themselves.
Q: Why do you choose kids as your reader ? is there any specific reason?
I love kids and I really wanted to write something that would help empower them to become all that God has created them to be and I feel like knowing and being able to hear and recognize God’s voice for ourselves is a vital and essential part of that process.
Q: How did these stories and characters come to your mind?
When I sat down to write, I really just followed The Lord’s lead and things just started to flow.
Q: Do you want to leave any message for your readers?
I wholeheartedly pray that my books will be a huge blessing to families and children around the world. The Bible says that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. So, I pray that my books would awaken a new hunger and joy in drawing near to God and listening for His voice. And lastly… literally, nothing is impossible for God and we truly can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. So, if there’s a dream in your heart pursue it and let nothing stop you! Anything is possible for the one who believes!
