Charlie & Jeannie Go to School By Robin Rotenberg
Illustrated By Patrick Carlson
It is a beautiful story of Charlie and his little sister Jeannie, they want to go to school, but they don’t know how to get on the bus and what will happen in the school. They are fearful of going on the bus alone until they get permission to take their dog Mango on the bus with them. Charlie and Jeannie find everyone is so nice, welcoming, and helpful towards them. They had the best day on the bus and at school.
This book tells children how to overcome their fear and anxiety about trying something new. It encourages children to problem-solve to overcome obstacles, to accept help, and to celebrate their accomplishments with happiness and pride. The Illustrations are wonderful and colorful so that children can understand the story by the pictures themselves.
The book includes an instructional activity guide for parents and educators.
