BOOK REVIEW
Wendy The Weed By Leo Zarko
“I will not be another flower, picked for my beauty and left to die. I will be wild, difficult to find, and impossible to forget.”
Wendy The Weed is a delightful read that gives a strong message of kindness, love, diversity, positive behavior, friendship and teaches children to embrace themselves.
Wendy is a green plant, surrounded by some beautiful and colorful flowers, sometimes she thinks about why they’ve all the beautiful colors, and she has only some shades of green. All the bees and bugs want only those colorful flowers, nobody wants to include her in their happy times. One day, Wendy saved all the plants from a storm and they all realized that real beauty is skin deep and we all are beautiful in our own way. After that Wendy becomes the talk of the town because everyone loves this green plant that looks beautiful in between all the colorful plants.
Join Wendy and her friends on their adventures that take children through all the seasons, and teach so many valuable lessons along the way. Illustrations are beautiful and vibrant, which makes this book more beautiful and eye-catching. I love the way the author tries to give a beautiful message of hope, love, and courage through this book.
