Q: First, tell us something about yourself.
I am Wanda Taylor, a 53-year-old children’s author. I worked as a nanny for 20 years.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer? Is it published or not?
I wrote my first book when I was 17 years old. It was about my family, but I chose not to pursue it because I didn’t want to embarrass anyone. After working as a nanny, I recently published my first children’s book, which happened 29 years ago.
Q: Tell us something more about your books.
My books are for children. I want them to use their active minds to try to figure out the answers and the magic of the book, creating a learning experience that is both fun and adventurous.
Q: How did these stories and characters come to your mind?
My book comprises real-life characters and stories. It will be a series of 6 books, and this is the first installment featuring all true stories.
Q: Do you want to leave any message for your readers?
What I want the kids to take away is a fun learning experience and anticipation for the next storybook.
