Q: Tell us something about yourself:
I’m originally from Los Angeles, California, and I have a deep love for writing, crafting, and exploring. After the Los Angeles fires, I realized I didn’t want to wait on my dreams anymore and decided to actualize them, not only to make myself proud but also to heal old wounds.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
My writing journey really began after those fires, driven by the desire to bring my dreams to life and to offer stories that might help others feel less alone.
Q: When did you write your first story, and is it published or not?
I wrote my first book in 2020, and it ended up becoming the second book I published. It’s about a selkie girl who learns to live in both worlds—land and sea—while her parents navigate their relationship.
Q: Tell us something more about your books.
My books often tackle topics that might be considered difficult to discuss, but I integrate them with fantasy and real-world situations in a way that’s approachable and relatable for readers.
Q: How did these stories and characters come to your mind?
Ideas often come to me in moments of creative flow—like when I’m crafting or just letting my mind wander. For example, the idea of a selkie navigating two worlds felt like a perfect metaphor for duality and belonging. Similarly, my next book about an ADHD pixie explores self-discovery and representation in a positive light.
Q: Do you want to leave any message for your readers?
To my readers, I want to say that no matter what you’re going through, you’re not alone. There are so many others out there with similar experiences, and even in the darkest moments, remember that you’re truly not alone. And that’s why I’m here—to help bring these conversations to light.
