Q: First tell us something about yourself.
My name is Carter Patterson and I’m 11 years old and started writing books at 7 years old. I love playing College Football 25 and Roblox. I also promote child literacy by attending local elementary schools and youth programs to read my books to kids. I’m in the works of making my fourth book in March and my third book is completed and will be released in 2026.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
I had a passion for writing and drawing and wanted to help people so I started writing books.
Q: When did you write your first story? Is it published or not?
I started writing at 7 years old in 2020. My first book was published when I was 8 years old in 2021.
Q: Tell us something more about your books.
My first book is about friendship. The character Connor meets friends along the journey, and they work together to reunite Conner with his family. My second book sends a message that it’s not about always winning it’s about treating people right.
Q: How did these stories and characters come to your mind?
My first book’s character is inspired by superheroes and my second book’s character is inspired by Formula One.
