Q: First, tell us something about yourself.
My name is Jamario Porchia, and I’m an author, creative storyteller, and someone who is passionate about making a positive impact through meaningful work. I love bringing ideas to life, encouraging others, and creating projects that inspire, uplift, and leave a lasting impression. My goal is to use storytelling to connect with people especially children, and remind them of the power of faith, purpose, and believing in themselves.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
My writing journey started with a vision that had been on my heart for some time. I wanted to create something that would not only inspire children but also help them build a relationship with God at an early age. In 2026, that vision became reality with the release of God Can Hear Me. What started as an idea quickly turned into a mission to impact young lives through faith-based storytelling.
Q: Tell us something more about your book series.
God Can Hear Me is the beginning of a faith-based children’s series designed to help kids understand prayer, faith, and God’s love in a simple and relatable way. My goal is to create stories and resources that make spiritual growth fun, engaging, and easy for children and families to connect with. I’m also expanding the brand with an interactive activity workbook and future projects.
Q: How did you create the magical system in your books and characters?
My books don’t focus on magic in the traditional sense instead, they focus on something even more powerful: faith and prayer. I wanted children to understand that talking to God is real, powerful, and available anytime. The characters are inspired by real children, real emotions, and everyday moments, so readers can see themselves in the story and connect with the message.
Q: Do you want to leave any message for your readers?
Absolutely. I want every reader, young or old, to know this: Your voice matters. Your prayers matter. No matter where you are, how young you are, or what you’re facing God hears you. Never stop believing, never stop praying, and never forget… God can hear you.
