Q: First tell us something about yourself.
My name is Mike Wang, and I’m the author of Best Dad Ever (No Takebacks!). I’m a father, entrepreneur, and storyteller who was inspired to write this book from the real-life adventures and everyday moments I share with my daughter, Kiara (Ga). I wanted to create a story that celebrates the special bond between dads and daughters through humor, imagination, and heartfelt memories.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
My journey as a writer began through fatherhood. Many of the funniest and most meaningful moments with my daughter naturally felt like stories that deserved to be remembered and shared. Over time, those moments inspired me to turn our experiences into a children’s book that other families could connect with and enjoy together.

Best Dad Ever (No Takebacks!) is centered around the playful and loving relationship between a dad and his daughter. The book combines humor, imagination, life lessons, and family adventures in a way that both children and parents can enjoy. One fun interactive element is the hidden “Best Dad Ever” medal that children can search for throughout the story.
Q: How did you create the magical system in your books and characters?
The “magic” in my book comes from imagination, love, and the special connection between parent and child. The characters and moments are inspired by real experiences with my daughter. I wanted the story to feel warm, relatable, and full of wonder in the way children naturally see the world.
Q: Do you want to leave any message for your readers?
I hope this book encourages families to slow down, laugh together, and appreciate the simple moments that often become the most meaningful memories. Childhood goes by quickly, and sometimes the little everyday adventures become the stories we treasure the most.
