BOOK REVIEW
Smart and Beautiful Me By Tamika Mitchell-Wilcher
Smart and Beautiful Me is about a little girl born with Down Syndrome, and her parents know she has something special, so she named her Unique. At the start, Unique finds it difficult to adjust in school as other children laugh at her, but luckily her Super Teacher T consoles her and tells her how Smart, Beautiful, and Unique she really is.
She plays with her, draws with her, and gives her extra attention that Unique loves and decides to buy a gift for her teacher. Now read this extra-special story to know what gift Unique bought for her Super teacher. I love the bond between Unique and her teacher and how her mother always encourages her to try new things.
This book beautifully portrays the mindset of children who are extra special and helps parents and teachers to understand the challenges they go through.
I want to salute all the parents who are doing their job amazingly and let their children dream big and smile with their full hearts. This beautifully illustrated picture book also teaches children about being kind, respecting each other, and encourages them to understand the language of love.
This book is an emotional and heartfelt read for me.
