Q: First tell us something about yourself.
I am an Award Winning Children’s book Author. I now have 4 books out. My latest is ‘Lights, Camera, Lisa! Which I co- authored with my dear Friend Lisa Carroll. She is a former entertainer and Opera Singer. I am also a political science student in college here in Nevada.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
I started my writing journey in elementary school. Creating short stories for my family to read aloud.
Q: How do you ensure that your characters are relatable and authentic to your young readers?
I want all my characters to feel relatable through the way they look. To empower young readers to feel like they can do anything they put their minds to. Also to educate kids on the topic of each story.
Q: Tell us something more about your book series.
My little Joe series of books takes kids to different cities. It teaches them history about each city as well as cool plots in each book. My award winning book, “To Space We Go” is about a kid named Malcom who dreams of being an astronaut, and travels to space. My latest book is Lights, Camera, Lisa! which is a story about a girl named Lisa(My friend Lisa Carroll) who wants to be a Broadway Star. Story will teach kids never to give up, keep trying at their dreams.
Q: How did you create the magical system in your books and characters?
I am old fashioned. I write my stories on pen and paper first, then type out after I make final changes of book drafting.
Q: Do you want to leave any message for your readers?
My books are made to empower kids. To give them a dream to travel, a dream to go to space, a dream to be a Broadway Star, and a dream to be whatever they want!
