Q: First tell us something about yourself.
Since childhood, I’ve been an avid writer of short stories, poetry, and prose! My life-long dream to become a children’s book author has come to fruition and I couldn’t be more thrilled! My passion throughout life has been to help people, so it may not come as a surprise that it is exactly why I wrote Lighthouse Cheese Factory. My goal is to help children realize their potential while overcoming anxiety, the power of teaming up with others and the joy in realizing their dreams.
Q: How and when did your journey start as a writer?
From the moment I learned to read and write, I began stringing rhymes together.
Q: When did you write your first story? Is it published or not?
I am a former journalist, so my first official published story with a byline was in 1994. It was a first person account of sailing on the Barnegat Bay in New Jersey.
Q: Tell us something more about your books?
Lighthouse Cheese Factory was written to spark curiosity, and appreciation for entrepreneurship, while cultivating collaboration, diversity, inclusivity and high self-esteem.
Q: How did these stories and characters come to your mind?
The inspiration for Bleu and the gang came to me almost instantly on one sunny Saturday morning on my front porch at the New Jersey shore. There, a small ornamental lighthouse magically transformed into a cheese factory and my pup Beau became a curious character in the story, all thanks to the power of imagination and dare to dream!

Don’t be afraid to take chances. Realizing your dream may require a little help from your friends. The best part – together you’ll learn how extraordinary you are as individuals and as one powerful team!
