Oscar was created to help showcase OCD thoughts. He struggles with his OCD tendencies and becomes overwhelmed with his thoughts. He is constantly in fear of something going wrong but learns how to find a calm place where his thoughts can’t overwhelm him.

Ana was created to help understand anxiety. She experiences panic attacks when it gets really bad. She is driven by the need to succeed and please people, but she is also never satisfied with her results.

The Power of Gratitude Unlocking Hidden Treasures is based on the author’s personal research with children ages four to eight years old. Their discussions centered on their understanding of the concept of gratitude and discovering the things for which they feel most grateful.
