Having grown up with parents and grandparents who were teachers, deputy heads and head teachers I grew up surrounded by books and developed an interest in writing early on, which was further inspired by an author who visited my primary school in Haringey. I graduated from Leeds University having studied Film and Moving Image. During this time, I pitched ideas for scripts that were selected by the university to be made into shorts. This was the turning point when I decided that he needed to reignite my passion for becoming an author and pursue a career in writing. After many ideas and several trips to the coffee shop later, Luke’s First Adventure was formed.

I am a writer by nature and nurture and not by compulsion, ambition, or conscious choice. My writing career started at the early age of 8. Since then, I wrote for leading Indian publications like The Caravan, Hindustan Times, The Wire, The Hindu, DNA, Sakal Times. My essays, articles, book excerpts, short stories have been translated and published in 31 languages, both Indian and foreign, and in offline and online outlets in 24 countries. My first book My Name is Cinnamon was published in November 2022, and is published by Hay House India, Indian subsidiary of the renowned publisher Hay House, world’s largest publisher of nonfiction books.

C. James Sweeney is a family man that is always on the go. Married with four beautiful kids, he works full time managing a retail store, is finishing his degree in Multimedia Design and Development, and manages to find time in between to write and create. Ariel L. Brown is the founder and self-published author of Pumped 4 My Journey. She is the only child of Rev. Michael and Mrs. Paulette Brown. Ariel was born in Petersburg, Virginia and now resides in Prince George County. In 2008, she graduated from Prince George High School with an advanced diploma. She continued to further her education, and in 2011, graduated from Richard Bland College, where she received her Associate’s Degree in Science. Ariel is the proud mother of the most amazing little girl Kaliya. She is employed as a certified medical assistant working with an endocrinologist and a nurse practitioner/diabetes educator.
