Because I See You, I See Me, is a reminder that when children see teachers who are a reflection of them, it empowers their goals and aspirations. This book highlights the importance of diversity in the teaching profession and the long term positive impacts it can have on children of color.

I’m a detective, hostage negotiator and professor in NYC. I’ve been in law enforcement for over 18 years. I am married to my amazing husband Chris. We have four talented, cool kids.

I am a first-generation college graduate born and raised in the inner-city Bay Area, CA. In addition to Authoring children’s books, I am an aspiring Legislator. Understandably, I have unwavering passions to create a meaningful change in the world which will outlive me. It is my hope that my gift of writing and public speaking will truly uplift the youth and our society as a whole.
