The River Rescue and the Call to Kindnes by Sheila Hara

After a mighty storm floods their town, Hiro, Lani, and Wazi discover more than just puddles and fallen branches—they discover a chance to help.

With small hands and big hearts, these three siblings—known as the Little Helpers—step into a messy rescue center and learn that kindness is more than words. It’s lifting heavy boxes, comforting frightened puppies, throwing a surprise party, and showing up even when it’s hard.

Rooted in faith and wrapped in joy, The River Rescue and the Call to Kindness is a tender, funny, and inspiring story about God’s gentle voice, the power of showing up, and the ripple effect of everyday love.

A perfect story for families who want to raise kids who listen, love, and live out their faith—even in the muddiest moments.

It’s All the Same Forest by Paige Rechtman

It’s All the same forest is a story about the everlasting bond between a girl and her cat. Written by licensed psychotherapist, Paige Rechtman, before the passing of her beloved soulmate-kitty, Squiggles, the poem took on deeper meaning after her loss.

In the wake of her grief, Paige began illustrating the original poem, letting memories and emotion guide the images that now bring the story to life. Working on this project became a deeply therapeutic act, one that helped her process her grief while cherishing the memories they shared.

This book is both a personal story and an invitation to explore your relationship with your own pet. At the end, you’ll find a guided poetry exercise to help you honor your pet by creating something from the heart.
